Cleveland Browns rookie running back Quinshon Judkins was arrested Saturday in Florida on a domestic violence charge, and newly released details from the incident paint a troubling picture.

Judkins, 21, was taken into custody by Fort Lauderdale police after officers responded to a report of delayed battery. Authorities determined a battery had occurred and arrested Judkins on a charge of touch or strike battery/domestic violence, according to records from the Broward County Sheriff's Office.
The Browns have not publicly commented on the arrest. As of Monday afternoon, Judkins remained listed on the team's active roster.
According to the arrest report obtained by NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the alleged incident took place on July 7, when Judkins and a woman—who told police she is in a relationship with him—were in a car leaving Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The report states Judkins punched her in the face with a closed fist, then struck her arm and thigh during the drive.
Judkins was selected by Cleveland with the 36th overall pick in the second round of April's NFL Draft. He played two seasons at Ole Miss before transferring to Ohio State, where he helped the Buckeyes capture a national title last season.

During his college career, Judkins rushed for 3,785 yards and 45 touchdowns, adding 442 receiving yards and five scores through the air. His breakout season came as a freshman at Ole Miss in 2022, when he posted 1,567 yards and 16 touchdowns. He ran a 4.48-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, impressing scouts with his burst and balance.
Regardless of legal outcome, Judkins could face a suspension under the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy, which typically mandates a six-game ban for violations involving domestic violence.
