Bill Belichick is leaving his Patriots days in the dust. Or at least trying to turn them into gold. As Belichick prepares for his new role as head coach at the University of North Carolina, the NFL coaching legend has put one of his Nantucket properties on the market.

According to Boston.com, Belichick has listed his cottage at 3 North Gully Road in 'Sconset for $3.9 million. Property records show he purchased the home in 2014 for $2.45 million.
The cottage is one of several properties Belichick owns on the island. His holdings include another small compound in 'Sconset and a home on Fair Street in downtown Nantucket. He also owns the property next door at 7 North Gully Road, where, per the Nantucket Current, he is building a new home.
The Coldwell Banker listing describes the cottage as a two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath home with direct beach access. Built in 1976, it sits next to conservation land and was last renovated in 2009. The interior features a vaulted living room with a stone fireplace, a loft with two custom built-in beds, and a lower level that includes a family area and laundry.
The listing agent did not immediately respond to a request for comment, Boston.com reported.
Belichick, 72, has long spoken fondly of Nantucket. In a 2017 feature in N Magazine, he called the island "spectacular" and highlighted its beaches, lighthouses, fishing, bike paths, and history.
His ties to New England remain strong even as his coaching career moves on. After parting ways with the Patriots in January following 24 seasons and six Super Bowl titles, Belichick accepted the head coaching job at the University of Carolina in April.
For now, though, one piece of his New England footprint is up for grabs. The 'Sconset cottage is priced at $3.9 million — a reminder that even Bill Belichick, who has spent decades shaping NFL dynasties, is not immune to a little spring cleaning.
