In the fourth inning, outfielder Harrison Bader launched a homer into the left-field seats. A small scrum broke out for the ball, and one dad in a Phillies shirt came away with the souvenir. He proudly handed it to his young son a few seats down. End of story, right? Not even close.

Moments later, a white-haired woman in a Phillies hoodie — quickly dubbed "Karen" by fans online — stormed down the row, grabbed the dad by the shoulder, and demanded the ball. After a brief back-and-forth, the dad reluctantly took the ball from his son and handed it over. Karen marched back to her seat like she had just won Game 7 of the World Series.

Broadcasters on both the Phillies and Marlins feeds were floored. Phillies analyst Ruben Amaro asked on air, "What is her problem?" while the Marlins crew suggested someone from Miami should just give the kid another ball. And sure enough, a Marlins employee soon arrived with a gift bag filled with home run balls, collectibles, and a jersey.

The backstory made it even juicier. Replays showed the ball actually bounced off Karen's midsection before trickling to the row in front of her — where the dad scooped it up. "You have to catch it to be yours," the dad reportedly told her, which sparked the meltdown. Fans said she and her embarrassed partner were booed out of the section.

The Phillies ended up piling on too, inviting the family to the locker room area after the 9-3 win. Team president Dave Dombrowski and Bader signed a bat for the boy, who left with more swag than any fan could hope for.

Karen? She left with nothing but a reputation.
