Eagles keeing tight lid on reported Jalen Hurts-A.J. Brown tension

Something doesn't quite add up in Philadelphia. The Eagles keep winning, the locker room stays quiet, and the whispers never really go away, as noted by Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio.

It's been that way for nearly two years, dating back to their stunning 2023 collapse. A 10-1 start turned into six losses in seven games and an ugly wild-card exit. Beneath the surface, questions about the relationship between Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown have lingered.

Former defensive end Brandon Graham let something slip last year before trying to put the toothpaste back in the tube. This week, Brown added fuel with a tweet that insiders say was aimed at someone within the organization.

By Wednesday, Brown was doing damage control. He admitted frustration over his lack of touches, took responsibility for the tweet, and insisted it didn't mean anything.

When talking about Hurts, he said the quarterback "is not throwing to miss on purpose." That's not exactly high praise.

Hurts was asked about Brown and gave a short answer. "It's good," he said. The corners of his mouth dipped slightly and his jaw tightened.

He added, "Yeah." Pressed to elaborate, he offered a generic response. "We share a great passion for this game, and we're focused on this week."

If you're describing someone you're genuinely close to, that's not how you'd say it, Florio writes. The warmth wasn't there. The chemistry sounded scripted.

To their credit, the Eagles have kept this situation from exploding. No leaks. No Sunday bombshells. When the truth starts to trickle out, the organization clamps down fast.

The offense runs on brute force. The locker room runs on silence.

Either way, the defending Super Bowl champs are 4-0 entering Sunday's home game against the Denver Broncos.
