Fantasy Football Start Sit: Week 10

At this point in the fantasy season, every decision matters. Maybe you're one win away from locking in a playoff spot, or maybe you're fighting to avoid a last place punishment. Either way, one lineup choice could make or break your week. Here are our Week 10 starts and sits to help you make the call that keeps your fantasy football season alive.

Running Backs

Start: Tyrone Tracy
Tracy had the starting job in New York before losing it when Skattebo showed off his talent, only to regain it once the rookie went down with a gruesome season ending injury. Some might think Tracy is only getting touches by default, but the truth is he's a skilled back who simply lost the job to an exceptional rookie. The Bears defense is soft, and I expect the Giants to lean heavily on Dart and Tracy to run it down Chicago's throat.

Sit: Kimani Vidal
Vidal basically stumbled into the starting role after three running backs ahead of him landed on IR. To his credit, he's flashed big play potential and delivered solid fantasy performances (22.8 in Week 6, 19.7 in Week 8). But inconsistency has been his downfall, and that's deadly for fantasy football managers fighting for playoff spots. Add in a tough matchup against Pittsburgh, and we're fading Vidal in Week 10.

Quarterbacks

Start: Baker Mayfield
Mayfield keeps producing despite his supporting cast constantly ending up on the injury report. Evans, Godwin, Egbuka, and Irving have all missed time, yet Mayfield continues to sling it. While New England is a solid team, their record is inflated by one of the easiest schedules in the league. Their defense is softer than it looks, and Mayfield has the savvy and arm strength to pick them apart.

Sit: Jordan Love
There might not be a quarterback in the league who's done less with more. Love has been a major fantasy football letdown, topping 20 fantasy points in just three of the team's eight games. Now he faces a tough Monday Night matchup against a stingy Eagles defense. Best case, he scrapes together 17 points, but expect closer to 13 or 14.

Wide Receivers

Start: Jaylen Waddle
There aren't many bright spots in Miami right now. The Dolphins are one of the league's worst teams, Tua looks like a backup, the defense can't stop anyone, and Mike McDaniel might be updating his résumé soon. Still, Jaylen Waddle has quietly shown he was worthy of his top ten draft pick, especially after Tyreek Hill went down with a season ending injury. I think the Dolphins get blown out by the Bills, but Tua should be feeding Waddle and Achane all game.

Sit: Quentin Johnston
Many thought Johnston would be this year's Puka Nakua, as he went undrafted in most leagues but started the year with four straight games of 15 or more points. Since then, he's only hit that mark once. It seems like the Chargers have simply rebalanced their offense, and with McConkey and Keenan Allen reestablishing their chemistry with Herbert, Johnston is no longer the fantasy football asset many hoped he'd be this season.
