The former NFL wideout landed in Miami on Tuesday after being extradited from Dubai last week, where he had been detained following months on the run. Video from Fox Sports 640's Andy Slater showed Brown stepping off a plane under tight security.

The 37-year-old is accused of attempted second-degree murder stemming from a violent altercation at a celebrity boxing event in Miami last May. Prosecutors allege Brown tried to shoot and kill a man named Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nanatambu during the Adin Ross charity card.

Video from the event appeared to show Brown grabbing a gun and running with it in the middle of the chaos.

Brown's attorney, Mark Eiglarsh, entered a not-guilty plea this week and insists his client acted in self-defense.

"The actions he was forced to take were solely in self-defense against the alleged victim's violent behavior," Eiglarsh told TMZ Sports. "He was attacked that night and acted within his legal right to protect himself from an individual who had previously committed criminal acts against him."

The former All-Pro receiver now awaits a bond hearing in Miami. Because he fled after a warrant was issued, prosecutors could argue he's a flight risk — meaning Brown might remain behind bars or under strict house arrest until trial.

If convicted, Brown faces up to 15 years in prison. Once one of the NFL's brightest stars, the ex-Steelers, Patriots, and Buccaneers receiver has watched his post-football life spiral from headlines to handcuffs.
