Bill Belichick's first season at North Carolina has been a grind with little to clap about, but at least Jordon Hudson still has the spirit.

As TMZ relayed, Belichick spent part of his weekend supporting Hudson at the Cheer Extreme All-Stars competition in Raleigh. The 73 year-old Tar Heels coach was spotted in a grey sweatshirt, taking in the action as Hudson performed with Code Black, the North Carolina-based cheer squad. Photos made the rounds online, and if you're curious, the full routine is posted below.

Belichick's appearance came one day after North Carolina fell to Wake Forest by a score of 28-12. The loss dropped the Heels to 4-6 and added to a season already filled with outside noise. They started things off with a blowout loss to TCU and have been searching for rhythm ever since.

Last month, an old video resurfaced from 2024 that showed Belichick and Hudson talking trash about staffers on one of his shows. Hudson questioned why the crew had four full-time graphics people.

Belichick responded with, "They can't do s***." The clip didn't help the chatter surrounding him.

More recently, his name has popped up in the NFL coaching rumor mill, including speculation about a reunion with the New York Giants.

Belichick issued a statement shutting all of that down, saying he respects the Giants but will not pursue any NFL openings. He added that his commitment to UNC football has not wavered.

Now the second-winningest coach in NFL history turns his attention to Duke on Saturday. A win would put the Tar Heels one step closer to bowl eligibility. Maybe he will borrow a page from Hudson's playbook and remind his team to be aggressive. B-E aggressive.
