The Prime Video NFL broadcast took an interesting turn on Christmas night. The crew closed out the Kansas City Chiefs-Denver Broncos coverage by watching Ryan Fitzpatrick get his chest waxed.

The former NFL quarterback-turned-analyst had to take off his bathrobe and climb onto a waxing table set up on the sidelines of Arrowhead Stadium. This was his punishment for losing the Prime Video picks competition.
Licensed skin care professional Andrea Curttright then took on the unenviable task of ripping Fitzpatrick's ample chest hair out while Prime Video viewers remained tuned in.
"Have you ever seen chest hair this thick before?" Prime Video host Charissa Thompson asked while Fitzpatrick brushed his chest with a comb.
Of course, this was not a full-on wax job. That could have lasted until the sun began to rise. Instead, the skin care professional just needed to remove enough hair with wax so that the letters "TNF" displayed on Fitzpatrick's chest.
This process took approximately eight minutes, and it featured the former quarterback dealing with a significant amount of pain. The "F" particularly led to some squeals from Fitzpatrick, who leapt from the table and ran around with the stencil stuck to his chest. "My nipple!" he yelled as the other Prime Video personalities laughed.
Thompson, Richard Sherman, Andrew Whitworth, and Tony Gonzalez did not simply stand by and have fun at Fitzpatrick's expense. They also got in on the action.
They helped ripped the hair out as night descended upon Arrowhead Stadium. Sherman, in particular, wore a championship belt during the unique broadcast after winning the broadcast partner's competition.
As a football show, this did not simply have live action. The Prime Video crew even showed a slow-motion replay of the chest waxing, which included footage of every pained expression.
Why would the former NFL quarterback willingly take off his shirt for the cameras? The simple answer is that this was his punishment for losing the picks contest. He likely did not have a choice.
The other reason is that he has taken his shirt off many times throughout his career both as a player and analyst. Being bare-chested is far from a new experience. Although having hair ripped out in front of football fans is definitely new territory for Fitzpatrick.
