The College Football Playoffs enter the semifinal round with two high-profile games featuring championship contenders. Here's when all the action takes place.

Semifinal Game No. 1: Miami vs. Ole Miss (Jan. 8 at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN)
The first matchup of the semifinal round pits No. 10 Miami against No. 6 Ole Miss. These two teams will compete in the the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl while trying to lock up one spot in the National Championship.
Miami kicked off the College Football Playoffs by defeating Texas A&M in the opening round. The Hurricanes then moved to the quarterfinal round and defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes. This put the team on a collision course with Ole Miss.
The Rebels, who do not have Lane Kiffin on the sidelines after his move to LSU, started the College Football Playoffs by knocking off the Tulane Green Wave. The team then took on Georgia in the quarterfinal round and delivered another win.
Ole Miss and Miami will now face off on Thursday, Jan. 8, at 7:30 p.m. ET. ESPN will provide coverage for the game, which takes place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
Semifinal Game No. 2: Oregon vs. Indiana (Jan. 9 at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN)
The other semifinal round game pits No. 5 Oregon against No. 1 Indiana. The winner of this game will advance to the National Championship to face either Ole Miss or Miami.
The Oregon Ducks delivered a win over JMU in the opening round of the College Football Playoffs. The team then took out the Texas Tech Red Raiders in the quarterfinal round. Now, the Oregon Ducks are only one win away from competing for the National Championship for the first time since a 2014 loss to Ohio State. The Ducks also reached the BCS Championship in 2010 but lost to Auburn.
Indiana did not play in the opening round of the College Football Playoffs after securing the No. 1 seed. The Hoosiers' first game took place against the Alabama Crimson Tide, which the team won to advance to Friday's game against Oregon.
Indiana has never competed in the National Championship, but the team can secure its first opportunity during the game against Oregon. This matchup will take place on Friday, Jan. 9, at 7:30 p.m. ET. ESPN will provide coverage for the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, which takes place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana.
