Alysha Newman just took an L, and this one wasn't in the sandpit. The Canadian Olympic pole vaulter and viral OnlyFans star has been hit with a provisional suspension for "whereabouts failures," according to the Athletics Integrity Unit. Translation: She missed too many drug tests.

Newman made headlines when she twerked after winning bronze at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Now she's off the track until her case plays out.
Athletics Canada confirmed the suspension in a statement, throwing a bit of shade in the process.
"The athlete is ultimately responsible for providing the information in a timely matter," the federation said.
Newman responded with an Instagram video, calling the situation "unfortunate" and clarifying she's never touched banned substances.
"I've never taken steroids," she said. "The point of this suspension is simply a missed failure test of the whereabouts... I fell short this year. We're in the process, and I'll be back."
The 31-year-old trailblazer made history in Paris as the first Canadian woman to medal in pole vaulting. She also launched her OnlyFans during the 2021 Tokyo Games to give fans a behind-the-scenes look at her Olympic grind — and that move alone made her a standout.
Either way, she'll have to sit tight while the Athletics Integrity Unit sorts things out. No timeline yet on when she might return.
But if we've learned anything about Alysha Newman, it's that she knows how to stick the landing.
