This bout, which Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions will promote, will take place on Saturday, May 16. Rousey and Carano will face off at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California. This five-round bout will air on Netflix.

The rest of the card remains a mystery. Most Valuable Promotions will provide more details as the highly-anticipated featherweight fight approaches.

"Surreal moment. I started taking judo because of Ronda Rousey," Paul wrote on X. "Now I get to work with her and Gina Carano to bring MMA to Netflix. Here we go..."

Rousey, 39, became the first woman inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame after a meteoric rise to the top of the sport. The Olympic medalist in judo won the Strikeforce women's bantamweight title in 2012 before making her way to UFC.

It was at this point, that Rousey became a household name. She defended her title six times before ultimately ending her career with back-to-back losses. She retired from MMA and moved into the world of WWE.

Rousey has also landed acting roles in prominent films, TV shows, and video games. She then authored a graphic novel, "Expecting the Unexpected."

Carano, 43, helped pave the way for other female MMA fighters in the early 2000s. For example, she took part in the first women's fight on Showtime.

She only had one career defeat, which took place against Cris Cyborg in 2009. Her career featured wins over Kelly Kold, Tonya Evinger, Kaitlin Young, Julie Kedzie, Elaina Maxwell, Rosi Sexton, and Leiticia Pestova.

Like Rousey after her, Carano moved into other businesses after retiring from MMA. She starred in multiple films, video games, and TV series, including "Haywire" and "The Mandalorian." She and Rousey both had roles in "Fast and the Furious" films, albeit different ones.
