Jeff Teague was not having it. The former NBA champion pushed back hard on comments made by Ron Harper during All-Star Weekend, calling out Harper for what Teague saw as an unnecessary shot at LeBron James.

Speaking on the Club 520 Podcast, Teague reacted to Harper suggesting that James pushed his sons into basketball. Harper made the remark while discussing his own kids and said he was not going to tell them what to do, adding, "I'm not LeBron James."
That did not sit well with Teague.
"The last people who needed to hoop was Bronny and Bryce," Teague said. "They could be chilling if they wanted to. They probably just like basketball."
Teague made it clear he still respects Harper, but drew a line there.
"Respect to Ron Harper. He's a legend," Teague said. "But come on, bro. Leave LeBron out of that."
Harper's comment landed loudly because of the obvious context. Bronny James is already in the league with the Los Angeles Lakers, while Bryce James is playing college ball at Arizona.
Ron Harper on if he expected his sons to follow his footsteps & play in the NBA:
“I’m not LeBron James I’m not going to tell my kids what they have do.”

Teague argued that framing the situation as pressure from LeBron misses the point entirely. Both kids have been around the game their whole lives and chose it themselves.
Neither LeBron nor his sons have responded publicly. Harper's own kids, however, appeared visibly uncomfortable when the comment was made.
Teague summed it up simply: There was no need for the comparison. And no need to bring LeBron into it at all.

“I swear to God I can’t wait for the moment LeBron have a moment like me. Bro be act like Bronny and them didn’t want to hoop. I’m protecting LeBron today. Fu*k that. I know everybody always be I done fouled him and did… https://t.co/4xYi00ghXb pic.twitter.com/9VYeYkyAie
