Lloyd announced the news with a post on Instagram. She uploaded multiple photos showing her, Hollins, and their daughter, Harper Anne. The former soccer star showed off her baby bump as the family posed with the ultrasound photos. She revealed that the due date is September 2026.

"Our family is growing, and we couldn't be more grateful," Lloyd wrote. "We're soaking in every bit of gratitude, love, and excitement as we prepare to welcome another little miracle into our lives.

"Being blessed with another baby still feels hard to believe, and our hearts are so full."

A New Jersey native, Lloyd achieved significant success during her professional career. She played for six clubs over 11 seasons and twice won USSF Female Athlete of the Year (2008, 2015). She also won CONCACAF Female Player of the Year in 2015.

She won Olympic gold medals in both 2008 and 2012 before adding a bronze medal in 2020.

Lloyd earned a spot on the US Women's National Team and competed in the World Cup three times. The team lost to Japan in 2011 before taking the championship in both 2015 and 2019.

It was during the 2015 World Cup that Lloyd became the first woman to score a hat-trick in the Final. She also earned the adidas Golden Ball and the adidas Silver Shoe.

The soccer pro retired from the National Team in 2021. She and Hollins then announced in 2024 that they were expecting their first child together. They welcomed Harper Anne on Oct. 18, 2024.

"We just can't get enough of this little peanut," Lloyd wrote in her 2024 birth announcement. "We love love you so much and will do our best to give you the tools necessary in life to be a good human being!"

Less than two years later, they are getting ready to welcome another child into the world while expanding the happy family.
