The two Olympic runners exchanged vows in early April during a special ceremony at The Conservatory at Blackberry Ridge in Trenton, Georgia. According to Vogue, the wedding planning took some work as Lyles and Bromfield worked from multiple cultural backgrounds. Bromfield is originally from Jamaica.
The theme of the wedding became "All Shades of Melanin." Both Lyles and Bromfield embraced this with multiple looks for their big day. They also got the bridesmaids and groomsmen involved by having them dresses and suits in different shades of brown.
Lyles went to another level for his groomsmen. He had a special touch added to the inside of each suit jacket in the form of their favorite anime characters. This also tied into his love of anime.
The busy day featured a ceremony packed with guests from the United States and Jamaica. Lyles and Bromfield exchanged vows before heading to the reception, which featured a performance by gospel singer Tasha Cobbs Leonard. They then spent the rest of the reception taking part in numerous dances.
"I already knew I was gonna cry, I just didn't know when," Noah told Vogue. "But when Janelle read the title of her vows, I was like, 'Oh, yep, this is the part. This is when I cry.'
"Her hands shook so much that she couldn't hold the vow book, so I ended up holding it for her. But I was also crying, so I couldn't wipe away my own tears. It was a super magical moment."
Lyles has competed in the Olympic Games two times. He made his debut in 2020 in Tokyo and then he returned in 2024 for the trip to Paris. He won the 100m gold in 2024 after beating Jamaica's Kishane Thompson. He also has two bronze medals from the Olympic Games, both in the Men's 200m.
Bromfield has also competed in the Olympics two times. like Lyles, she made her debut in 2020 before returning in 2024. She won a bronze medal in 2020 as a member of Jamaica's team for the Women's 4 x 400m Relay.
