Estephany provided the life update on social media. She did not provide a reason for the split between her and Shepard. This change takes place nearly three years after Shepard proposed during a trip to Turks & Caicos.
"As of 4.15.26, our engagement has ended," Estephany wrote in a statement on Instagram Stories. "Focusing on me and Lion, and continuing to trust God with this next chapter. Grateful for all the love + support of my ppl."
Shepard has not provided any information about the ending of the engagement, but he recently took in the Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California.
A former receiver for the University of Oklahoma, Shepard spent the last two seasons playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He caught 71 passes for 705 yards and two touchdowns while working with quarterback Baker Mayfield. He is currently a free agent after finishing out a one-year, $1,750,000 deal.
It remains unclear if Shepard will return to the Buccaneers in 2026. The team lost wide receiver Mike Evans, who signed with the 49ers, but it has multiple other receivers on the roster.
The lineup includes Emeka Egbuka, Chris Godwin, Tez Johnson, Kameron Johnson, Jalen McMillan, David Sills V, Dennis Houston, and Garrett Greene. It also includes rookie third-round pick Ted Hurst.
Shepard originally entered the NFL as a second-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. He landed with the New York Giants and became an immediate 16-game starter. He delivered 65 receptions for 683 yards and eight touchdowns as a rookie while the team went 11-5.
Shepard spent eight seasons with the Giants while appearing in 90 games. He only appeared in seven games in 2021 and three games in 2022. He delivered 4,095 receiving yards and 23 touchdowns during his time with Big Blue.
