Talladega winner Carson Hocevar will start from the pole position after posting a lap of 28.222 seconds. This marks his second career pole and his second in two seasons at Texas Motor Speedway. Hocevar also won the Friday night Truck Series race at the intermediate track.
Spire Motorsports teammate Daniel Suarez qualified second with a lap of 28.225 seconds. This marks his third top-10 start of the season. This is the first time that Spire Motorsports has ever swept the front row for a Cup Series race.

The rest of the top 10 included Chris Buescher (28.275), Denny Hamlin (28.304), Chase Briscoe (28.304), Kyle Busch (28.330), Christopher Bell (28.353), Tyler Reddick (28.359), Alex Bowman (28.364), and Ty Gibbs (28.396).
Connor Zilisch posted a career-best qualifying effort as he prepared for his 14th Cup Series race. He will line up 12th after posting a lap of 28.430 seconds.
Winning the pole is not something Hocevar does frequently. He only did so for the first time last season at this Fort Worth track. Yet, he had an opportunity to fight for the fastest lap again after taking advantage of the qualifying metric.
Hocevar was able to go out on the track last after winning last weekend's race at Talladega Superspeedway. This gave him a bit of an advantage over drivers who had to qualify much earlier in the session.
"I mean, everything's so fresh for us on this stuff," Hocevar said before making his lap. "We're laughing about the little things, like we're excited that we roll out last to qualify and highest on the metric. So, yeah, little victories here and there that you just get to enjoy.
"Obviously, the people that have won before and win consistently, that's just part of the job. They've been there, done that. For us, it's all new and we get to finally enjoy it. Hopefully we can roll out last and take advantage of it. Start up front, which is super important here. Pit stops are going to be important. Get a good pit selection and really keep the momentum rolling."
Sunday's Cup Series race will take place at 3:30 p.m. ET. FS1 will provide coverage, starting with NASCAR RaceDay at 2 p.m. ET.
