Another familiar voice is moving on. The Los Angeles Angels announced they will not bring back longtime broadcaster Patrick O'Neal after 13 seasons on their TV crew.

O'Neal, 58, had been a steady presence on Angels broadcasts, handling a mix of roles. He rotated into play-by-play alongside Wayne Randazzo and also served as a pregame and postgame host. For a lot of fans, he was just part of the nightly routine.
The team kept it simple in its statement, thanking O'Neal for his dedication and the pride he brought to each broadcast.
O'Neal responded in kind.
He thanked the organization for the opportunity and said it was the people he'd miss most. The conversations. The relationships. The day-to-day grind around the game.
That part tends to hit hardest.

This comes at an interesting time for the Angels. The team is struggling on the field and heading toward another losing season, while changes continue behind the scenes in the front office.
Now, there's a change in the booth too.
O'Neal, a two-time LA Area Emmy winner, also remains involved in hockey broadcasts with the Los Angeles Kings, so this isn't the end of his time behind a microphone.
Still, for Angels fans, it's one of those subtle shifts you notice. Same team. Different TV voice.
