Brandon Clarke's Fiancée Breaks Silence on His Death

Amber Lorraine, the fiancée of late Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke, shared a public tribute following his death at age 29, reflecting on their relationship and future plans.

In an Instagram post dated May 17, Lorraine wrote that she is struggling to process life without Clarke, describing him as "the most special person" with "the biggest heart." She said he had a profound impact on many people, particularly her, and credited him with making her feel deeply loved and supported.

Lorraine also highlighted Clarke's wide range of talents and passions, saying he approached everything "at an elite level," from creative pursuits to basketball. She described him as selfless and attentive to those around him.

Authorities said Clarke was pronounced dead shortly after 5 p.m. on May 11 at a residence in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles. Emergency responders had been dispatched following a 911 call. His death is under investigation, with reports indicating it may be related to a possible overdose.

In her post, Lorraine described the personal loss in detail, saying she missed everyday moments they shared, from conversations and laughter to routine activities like watching movies and preparing meals together. She added that the world "isn't the same" without him.

She also referenced the couple's engagement, calling the proposal "the happiest day" of her life, and said they had planned to marry and eventually start a family.

Tributes from across the NBA followed Clarke's death. Among them, former teammate Jaren Jackson Jr. expressed disbelief and grief in a social media post, describing Clarke as a close friend whose impact extended well beyond basketball.
