Life is moving pretty fast these days for NBA big man Micah Potter.

The Indiana Pacers center carved out a growing role in Indiana's rotation this past season. Now, he and his wife, Elle, are preparing for an even bigger milestone off the court.
The couple announced earlier this year that they are expecting their first child together, with the baby due in September. More recently, Potter revealed they'll be welcoming a boy.
And honestly, the reveal fit the moment perfectly.
Back in April, Potter teased the news ahead of an NBA game by posting two pairs of sneakers on Instagram — one pink, one blue — telling fans the color he wore on the floor would reveal the baby's gender. When game time arrived, the blue shoes had the answer.
It was a cool personal moment for the Ohio native, especially considering where it happened. Potter grew up in Mentor, just outside Cleveland, before beginning his college career at Ohio State University and later starring at University of Wisconsin.
Basketball has taken Potter on a winding journey through the NBA and G League, including stops with the Detroit Pistons, Utah Jazz and now the Pacers.
Through all of it, though, family has clearly stayed front and center.
Potter and Elle, a former volleyball player at Loyola University Chicago, were married in 2021. Soon, they'll officially add "mom" and "dad" to the list.
