Authorities are investigating after a body was discovered Thursday morning in a pond near the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club in east Phoenix.

According to Phoenix police, emergency crews were called to the area near 32nd Street and Camelback Road shortly before 9 a.m. after reports of a person floating in the water, per AZ Family.
Responding personnel located a body face down in a pond adjacent to the golf course. What began as a rescue response quickly transitioned into a recovery operation, officials said.
Police divers were called to the scene to assist in recovering the body, while detectives launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
Authorities said there were no immediate signs of foul play, though the investigation remains ongoing.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released as investigators work to determine who the person was and notify family members.
The discovery occurred near the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club, one of the Phoenix area's best-known golf destinations. The property features two courses, including the Estates Course, which opened in 2023, and the longtime Links Course, located near the Phoenix Mountain Preserve.
