Morgan announced the news with a reel on Instagram. She and Carrasco stood on the beach together at sunset while a phone captured the footage. Daughter Charlie stood between them on the sand while Carrasco held Enzo in his arms.

"Mother's Day feeling extra special this year," the former soccer star wrote in the caption. "Excited to welcome baby #3 this Fall."

Morgan and Carrasco tied the knot during a ceremony on New Year's Eve in 2014. They welcomed their first child together, Charlie, in 2020. They then welcomed son Enzo in 2025. Now, they are expecting their third child together.

Morgan, a California native, played soccer professionally between 2008-2024. She suited up for multiple teams and achieved success. She helped the New York Flash in Women's Professional Soccer and then she helped the Portland Thorns FC win the title in the National Women's Soccer League.

The success extended to the international stage. She played a pivotal role in two FIFA Women's World Cup titles, and she also won a gold medal in the Summer Olympic Games.

Morgan is not the only member the United States Women's National Team to announce major family news this spring. Carli Lloyd, also a two-time World Cup champion, made an announcement in April.

Lloyd announced that she and husband Brian Hollins are expecting their second child together. Their due date is in September 2026.

"Our family is growing, and we couldn't be more grateful," Lloyd wrote in an April Instagram post. "We're soaking in every bit of gratitude, love, and excitement as we prepare to welcome another little miracle into our lives.

"Being blessed with another baby still feels hard to believe, and our hearts are so full."
