With the FIFA World Cup kicking off this week, soccer fans are looking for other ways to celebrate the season. Netflix is providing some options with new additions to its platform.

The streamer now has multiple offerings, depending on each soccer fan's mood. Some look back at the history of the sport and some big personalities. Another takes a comedic approach to the sport.
- The Hot Seat: This new addition to Netflix arrived on June 3. It pits the members of France's 1998 and 2018 World Cup teams against each other in a comedy roast. Multiple comedians also get in on the fun while Paul de Saint-Sernin serves as the host.
- Poldi - This documentary, which landed on June 4, looks at footballer Lukas Podolski. The 2014 World Cup winner looks back on his career and life while providing comments about his future path.
- Mexico 86 - A comedy series looking back on the history of the World Cup, Mexico 86 focuses on Mexico's bid to host the 1986 World Cup. This series stars Diego Luna (Andor) as Martín De La Torre, the man who embarks on a mission to bring the World Cup back to his home country against all odds.
- USA 94: Brazil's Return to Glory - This documentary looks back at the World Cup in the United States, which featured Brazil going on a run to claim its fourth title. Brazil achieved this by defeating Italy in the Finals 3-2.
- Norway: The Dark Horse - A documentary with ties to this year's tournament, Norway: The Dark Horse focuses on the country's opportunity to return to the World Cup for the first time in nearly 30 years.
- The Rest is Football -An unscripted option for soccer fans, The Rest is Football focuses on all the action of the 2026 World Cup. Former footballers-turned-pundits Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer, and Micah Richards provide daily content from New York City.
All of these titles are now available on Netflix, so fans can properly build up their excitement for the 2026 World Cup. This tournament will officially begin on Thursday, June 11, with two Group A matches. Mexico and South Africa play at 3 p.m. ET while the Republic of Korea and Czechia play at 10 p.m. ET.
