Miller shared details of the crash in a social media post, saying he was airlifted to Mercy Hospital following the accident and remains focused on his recovery.

"Last week, I was involved in a serious car accident in Missouri and was airlifted to Mercy Hospital," Miller wrote. "I'm deeply grateful for the exceptional care I have received, from the first responders to the doctors, nurses and medical staff. I'm incredibly fortunate to be writing this."

Miller said he suffered multiple injuries, including broken ribs and several fractures. He also underwent an amputation of his left arm.

"As a result of the accident, I sustained significant injuries, including multiple fractures and broken ribs," he wrote. "I also underwent a life-saving amputation of my left arm. While I have a long road ahead, I'm focused on my recovery and taking things one day at a time."

According to reports from Missouri, the crash occurred last week in Jasper County. Authorities said a Ford Bronco driven by Miller crossed the center line on Missouri Route 96 and collided with a semi-truck. The driver of the truck was not injured.

Miller thanked supporters for the messages and prayers he and his family have received since the accident.

"Thank you for the overwhelming support, prayers and kind messages," he wrote. "They have meant so much to me and my family during this time."

The longtime draft analyst also expressed hope that he will eventually return to work.

"I look forward to continuing my recovery and getting back to ESPN to talk football, including what should be an exciting 2027 NFL Draft class," Miller said.

Miller joined ESPN in 2021 after spending more than a decade as Bleacher Report's lead NFL draft writer and analyst.
