"After 10 beautiful years together, we've grown in ways that made us realize our relationship feels most natural and strong as a deep friendship and as co-parents," Muniz posted on social media.

"We share an incredible son who remains the center of our world, and we're both happier, stronger parents because of the love and growth we've shared."

Muniz noted in the announcement that he and Paige will not be taking any questions about the decision to end their marriage. However, he made clear that this will be an amicable split.

"I'm endlessly grateful to Paige for everything she's done for me and our family," Muniz added. "She put her own dreams on hold so I could chase mine, and she was always my biggest supporter.

"That foundation of respect and friendship isn't going anywhere. We're excited to keep building Muniz Racing together and to co-parent our boy with the same teamwork and love we've always had."

This announcement comes as Muniz takes on a multi-faceted race schedule. He competes mostly full-time in the Truck Series while driving for Reaume Brothers Racing, and he drives the No. 33 Ford.

Mostly is the key word considering that Muniz had to miss one Truck Series race due to conflicting schedules. He did not drive the No. 33 at Watkins Glen International. Instead, he joined Tyler Stone for a race at Road Atlanta. They placed third overall in the No. 30 Ford Mustang GT4.

The Truck Series schedule will continue on July 11. Muniz and his fellow drivers will head to Lime Rock Park for a road course race.

They will then head to North Wilkesboro Speedway and Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park for some back-to-back short track races.
