According to TMZ, FIFA is in discussions with the pop superstar about performing during halftime of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

If a deal comes together, Bieber would reportedly join an already star-studded entertainment lineup that includes Madonna, Shakira and BTS.

The potential appearance wouldn't come completely out of nowhere.

Bieber and wife Hailey Bieber attended the World Cup opening festivities in California earlier this summer, where Justin also delivered a surprise performance for VIP guests.

While rumors have swirled about a possible concert tour, TMZ recently reported that Bieber isn't planning to hit the road anytime soon. A one-night performance on one of the world's biggest stages, however, would be a much different commitment.

The World Cup final is expected to draw one of the largest television audiences of the year, making it a fitting stage for one of music's biggest stars.

There's also a fun twist to the story.

Bieber is Canadian and even showed support for Mexico during the opening festivities, but that's part of what makes the World Cup unique. The tournament has always been about bringing fans from around the globe together, regardless of nationality.
