Guard Trey Alexander exited the game on a stretcher after sustaining an apparent injury to his side. He had to be taken from the court on a stretcher late in the 80-63 Jazz win. The team has not yet provided an update about his condition.
The injury occurred as Alexander drove toward the basket. He made contact with Caleb Wilson before tossing up the ball and falling away. He then grabbed his side or abdomen before walking behind the hoop and collapsing to the ground.
Trey Alexander is evacuated on a stretcher in the 4th quarter, after initiating contact with Caleb Wilson, gets the foul called, holds his left side, and rolls in pain outside the court (with replays).

Alexander remained on the court as the staff tended to him. Once the medical staff loaded him on the stretcher, he used his arms and hands to cover his face.
Prior to the injury, Alexander had played for 24 minutes. He had scored two points and accounted for three assists.
Alexander went pro after spending three seasons of his college career at Creighton. He joined the Denver Nuggets as an undrafted free agent and signed a two-way contract. This set him up to join the Grand Rapids Gold in the G-League.
He spent the 2024-25 season playing for the Grand Rapids Gold. He won Rookie of the Year after averaging 26.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 1.6 steals in 22 games. He also played in 24 NBA games for the Nuggets.
Alexander spent last season with the New Orleans Pelicans after signing a two-way contract. He appeared in nine games for the NBA team, and he played in 26 games for the Birmingham Squadron G-League team.
He averaged 23.9 points, 7.8 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.7 steals. Alexander became the only player on the team to average more than 20 points per game during the 2025-26 season.
The Oklahoma native just joined the Utah Jazz. He signed a two-way contract on July 4. The Jazz operate the Salt Lake City Stars G-League team.
