Jessie J announced the split on social media, revealing that the couple actually separated "some time ago" but chose to keep the news private while focusing on their family.

The Grammy-nominated singer described the breakup as a "sad and difficult situation," adding that the couple's top priority remains their 3-year-old son, Sky.

"Unfortunately being in the public eye this is the easiest way to let people know the truth, before rumors circulate or a false narrative is written," Jessie J wrote.

Colman, a Danish-Israeli basketball veteran, most recently played for Hapoel Haifa in the Israeli Basketball Premier League. He played professionally in Finland, Israel and Denmark after a college career at Chipola College, earning Finnish League Finals MVP honors in 2006 and Danish League MVP recognition in 2012.

Jessie said she and Colman "love and support each other" as friends and asked fans not to read too much into future family photos or social media posts featuring the two together.

The announcement included a photo of Jessie, Colman and Sky wearing matching jackets labeled "Mommy," "Daddy" and "Sky."

The former couple welcomed their son in 2023, and Colman stood by the singer during her highly publicized battle with breast cancer last year.

While their romantic relationship has come to an end, Jessie J's message emphasized that co-parenting remains the focus as they begin the next chapter of their lives together as friends.
