A Green Bay Packers icon has made a difficult announcement. He has revealed that he has been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease.

Ahman Green, the franchise's career leader in rushing yards, announced the news during an appearance on the Go Long With Tyler Dunne podcast. He said that he had been diagnosed in January 2025. He kept the diagnosis only to close family and friends before making it public.
"I had a little bit of the feet twitching when I'm in my sleep and stuff like that," Green said. "I mean, I knew something was going on long before that.
"I just got a hold of some doctors (and) was able to get in contact with and get the diagnostics, get the testing and finally got it tested."
He continued and explained that his short-term memory is not ideal. If he hears a name, he has to repeat it and write it down. If he doesn't follow this procedure, he will have to follow up with that individual.
Green also said that he has really focused on his diet and other aspects while receiving treatment from his doctors. He is not sitting idly by and just accepting the diagnosis.
"I got the reins," Green explained. "I'm in control. I'm not going to let this control me. There is some medicines that I've been taking from the doctor's side of it, so I made sure (to stay) on my protocol there but on my side, the food is my medicine.
"I'm ahead of it right now. For the doctors that examine me, they said really, if they didn't know what they knew about the early signs, they would have thought I was in great (shape)."
A third-round pick in 1998, Green started his career with the Seattle Seahawks. He spent two seasons in the Pacific Northwest before ultimately heading to the Green Bay Packers in 2000.
Green spent eight seasons with the Packers, and he rushed for a franchise record 8,322 yards while earning four trips to the Pro Bowl.
He scored 54 rushing touchdowns and set a single-season franchise record with 1,883 yards in 2003. He also set the team's single-game record with 218 yards against the Broncos in 2003.
Green twice led the NFL with the longest rush of the season. He posted a 98-yard run in 2003 and a 90-yard run in 2004.
