This has been a big offseason for NBA player Oscar Tshiebwe. He signed with a new team, the Houston Rockets, and then celebrated his wedding.

The former Kentucky standout returned to the Bluegrass State to marry his fiance Aaliyah. They exchanged vows on July 25 and officially became Mr. and Mrs. Tshiebwe.
They both took part in the ceremony while showcasing a black and white color scheme. Aaliyah had the traditional white gown while Tshiebwe had black pants with a white jacket.

An All-American at the University of Kentucky, Tshiebwe entered the NBA as an undrafted rookie. He kicked off his career by signing a two-way contract with the Indiana Pacers. He split his time between the pro team and its G-League affiliate while gaining experience.
The former Kentucky star then signed a two-way contract with the Utah Jazz in 2024. He played in 14 games for the NBA team in 2024 while averaging 7.6 points and 8.7 rebounds.
He then returned to the Utah Jazz last season while increasing his playing time to 27 games. He averaged 7.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 16.6 minutes played.
Tshiebwe has already made history despite spending fewer minutes on the track than other players. He is the only player in league history with more than 15 games played to average at least 15.0 rebounds and 6.0 offensive boards per 36 minutes played.
The 26-year-old will now continue his NBA career after celebrating his wedding in Kentucky. He will spend the 2026-27 season with the Houston Rockets after signing a one-year, $2,537,526 contract.
The goal for the Rockets this season will be to make a deeper run in the playoffs than they did last season. After all, the playoffs ended in the first round of the Western Conference.
The Rockets went 52-30 last season before losing the opening series to the Lakers 2-4. This marked the second consecutive season in which the team failed to advance beyond the first round.
The Rockets have not actually reached the Western Conference Finals since 2017-18, and they have not reached the NBA Finals since the 1994-95 season when they won their second straight title.
