A construction worker was hospitalized after falling approximately 20 feet while working on a construction project near UCF's football stadium.

According to the Seminole County Fire Department, the 29-year-old worker was conscious when emergency crews arrived at the West Tower construction site adjacent to the Acrisure Bounce House, per WESH.
Officials said the worker was transported as a trauma alert to Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Authorities said the fall was partially cushioned by drywall and mesh material, though the worker's current condition has not been released.
Contractors secured the site following the incident, and an investigation into what caused the fall is underway.
The construction project is part of ongoing improvements around UCF's stadium, home of the Knights football program. The venue, commonly known as the "Bounce House," opened in 2007 and has undergone multiple renovations over the years while remaining one of the school's signature athletic facilities.
The stadium is also slated to host the 2026 Cure Bowl while renovations continue at nearby Camping World Stadium.
Officials have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
