Cameron Joseph Grady, 17, faces two counts of aggravated robbery following an incident June 28 on San Antonio's West Side, according to News 4 San Antonio.
Investigators said Grady and another person approached two teenagers at the party and allegedly ripped necklaces from their necks.
The two victims chased after them in an attempt to recover their property, according to an arrest report. One told police the second suspect pulled out a handgun, prompting him to stop the pursuit.
The other teen accused Grady of punching him in the face and leaving him with a black eye. Investigators said several unidentified people then allegedly attacked the teenager from behind.
Both teens told authorities they knew Grady through high school football. One later identified him in a photo lineup, while the other was unable to identify a suspect, according to the report.
Grady was arrested on two counts of aggravated robbery and later released on bond. Authorities had not announced an arrest of the other alleged suspect as of the initial report.
Grady is a standout running back at Sotomayor High School and a UTSA recruit. He rushed for 1,435 yards and 14 touchdowns as a sophomore before putting up 895 yards and 12 rushing touchdowns in only five games during an injury-shortened junior season.
He also caught nine passes for 211 yards and six touchdowns last season.
