The NFL has suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Nazeeh Johnson for the first six games of the NFL season.

The league announced the suspension on Friday and said that Johnson had violated the policy on performance-enhancing substances. The suspension will begin on Aug. 30. He will be eligible for reinstatement on Oct. 19.
He will miss games against the Jets, Eagles, Giants, Ravens, Texans, and Colts. Two of these games are part of the AFC South battle. Johnson will be eligible to return to the team for Week 7's game against the Browns.
A seventh-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Johnson began his career with the Kansas City Chiefs. He has appeared in 29 games, starting six, while registering one sack and 66 combined tackles. He appeared in three playoff games during his rookie season while winning a Super Bowl ring.
Johnson signed a one-year contract worth $1.075 million with the Titans ahead of the 2026-27 NFL season. He will forfeit $358,332 while serving his six-game suspension.
Johnson has responded to the news of the suspension with a post on social media while seeking to provide some more context.
"My wife and I were trying to conceive a child," he wrote on X. "We found out that I was infertile, and I took a fertility medication that was helping me try to conceive a baby. I was not aware that there was a substance in the medication that was on the banned list, and I tested positive for a PED.
"Lesson to all NFL players and new players coming into the league: do not put anything in your body without following the process and getting approval beforehand.
"We lost our baby a few weeks ago, and this has been an incredibly difficult time for my wife and me. Fortunately, we have nine good eggs left, so we're holding on to hope that we'll be able to grow our family."
