According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the deal is worth $5.5 million and can reach $7.5 million with incentives.
Miller certainly sounds ready.
"Hereee Weee Gooo," he wrote on Instagram alongside an image of himself wearing a Cowboys uniform.
The move brings the 37-year-old back to Texas for his 15th NFL season.
Miller attended DeSoto High School, roughly 30 minutes from AT&T Stadium, before becoming a star at Texas A&M. Dallas will be the fifth NFL team of his remarkable career.
And this isn't necessarily a case of a big name hanging around for one last paycheck.
Miller spent last season with the Washington Commanders and recorded nine sacks while playing all 17 games. It was his highest sack total since 2021.
He'll now join a Cowboys pass-rushing group that includes Rashan Gary, Donovan Ezeiruaku and 2026 first-round pick Malachi Lawrence.
Miller enters the season as the NFL's active leader with 138.5 career sacks. That also ties him with former Cowboys star and Hall of Famer DeMarcus Ware for ninth on the NFL's all-time list.
The connection between the two goes deeper than the numbers.
Ware served as a mentor to Miller when they played together in Denver, helping the Broncos win Super Bowl 50. Miller was named MVP of that game and later captured another championship with the Los Angeles Rams.
Now Miller gets a chance to play that veteran role for a young Dallas defense.
