Former NFL Pro Bowl running back Miles Sanders is facing charges after being arrested for allegedly driving under the influence in the Pittsburgh area.

According to CBS Pittsburgh, Sanders was charged with DUI and careless driving stemming from a June 8 incident in Churchill Borough, roughly 10 miles outside Pittsburgh.
Police said an officer found Sanders slumped over behind the wheel of his Lexus, which was stopped in the middle of William Penn Highway.
According to the criminal complaint, officers made several attempts to wake Sanders, who allegedly appeared to be "in and out of consciousness" and "extremely lethargic."
Police said Sanders had glossy eyes and smelled of alcohol after getting out of the vehicle. He allegedly acknowledged drinking earlier in the day.
The 29-year-old reportedly performed poorly during field sobriety tests and tested positive for alcohol on a portable breath test before being taken into custody. Police also said marijuana was found inside the vehicle.
Sanders' attorney, Phil DiLucente, told KDKA-TV that the case remains in its early stages.
"This is a private matter that has not even reached the preliminary hearing stage and there will be no further comment," DiLucente said.
Sanders is due back in court in September.
A Pittsburgh native and former Woodland Hills High School standout, Sanders played collegiately at Penn State before the Philadelphia Eagles selected him in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Sanders spent four seasons with Philadelphia and earned Pro Bowl honors in 2022. He later played two seasons for the Carolina Panthers before joining the Dallas Cowboys in 2025.
He has rushed for 4,462 yards and 24 touchdowns over 88 career NFL games while adding 1,274 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
Sanders is currently an NFL free agent.
