Speaking on Shannon Sharpe's "Club Shay Shay" podcast Young recalled his anger after a private conversation about cheating on then-fiancée Iggy Azalea became public in 2016.

"I tried to get to the arena, they had security and everything," Young said, according to TMZ. "They stopped me at the door, told me I couldn't come in, 'take a couple of days off.'"

Young said he brought others with him and intended to fight Russell, then a rookie teammate.

"I had the whole gang with me. It was about to go crazy," he said.

The video showed Young discussing infidelity during a conversation Russell recorded. Its release became a major controversy for the Lakers and damaged the relationship between the teammates.

Young also made a separate claim about retaliation involving Russell's brother.

"A couple friends of mine had to get his brother in the family lounge and all that," he said. "I had to get some type of get-back."

The report did not provide further details about what allegedly happened in the lounge.

Young said the fallout followed him home, where he found his belongings in a swimming pool. His relationship with Azalea subsequently ended.

A decade later, Young's account suggests the anger over the recording remains.
