Judd posted a photo from a hospital bed in late September, one that showed him covered with a blanket. He had a cup of ice in one hand and what appeared to be a carbonated beverage in the other.

Judd didn't provide details about his health concern, but he multiple puns about bowel movements.

"Been a 'crappy' couple days in the hospital, but I'm bustin out in time for a new song and video release on Friday... Just Another Day In Poopadies... I mean Parodies," he wrote on Instagram.

One day later, Judd posted another photo of himself on social media. He remained in the hospital, and he had an IV providing fluids. This time, however, he stood in the hospital room.

"I'm ready to bust outta here," he wrote. "My duet partner here sings too much every time I bend my arm. She's fired! Shows and song release happenin this week! Hydrated up and ready to goooo..."

True to his word, the longtime performer did secure his release from the hospital. He has since continued with his daily life, which includes celebrating a nine-year wedding anniversary.

Judd has also continued podcasting while interviewing medical professionals. He has attended local events while spending time with his loved ones.

He has also released a new parody song, Just Another Day in Parodies (Cease & Desist). This particular song is a take on Phil Vassar's Just Another Day in Paradise, and it follows some legal troubles that he experienced.

Sony Music New York sent Judd a letter demanding that he take down his Ella Langley tribute song and video. He did as demanded and then released a timely new song.

"Am I disappointed? Ridiculously, professionally and personally disappointed, because I've never done a song where I've beat up on the artist or took advantage of a bad situation, you know," he said in a video posted to social media.

"I mean, it ain't like I'm ever gonna do a parody of Go Rest High on That Mountain.

"But this one kind of shocked me. I know she never commented, and we got a little text from her attorney yesterday that just said she wasn't interested in participating."
