Kristaps Porzingis says his health is improving, but the Golden State Warriors still don't know when their veteran center will return to the court.

The Warriors announced Wednesday that Porzingis remains "out indefinitely" with a private health-related issue. He has not been cleared to practice, although he is expected to spend time at the team's facility and around his teammates.
"I'm working with doctors and experts to figure out how to be fully back to good health [as soon as possible]," Porzingis wrote in a social media update. "Honestly, I'm getting better and better. I just have to stay patient, and I believe I'll be feeling great again soon."
Porzingis informed general manager Mike Dunleavy before training camp that he would not be reporting. He missed Golden State's trip to Hawaii and its first five preseason games before meeting Tuesday with Dunleavy and medical executive Rick Celebrini in San Francisco.
I appreciate all the internet doctors trying to diagnose and help, but I'm in the best hands. So everyone can relax now 😄🙏🏼 and I don’t have hiv or aids.

The Warriors said details of that meeting would remain private. They will provide updates on his practice status and potential return when appropriate.
"It has definitely been frustrating dealing with some health stuff that you can't exactly pinpoint, on top of injuries throughout my career," Porzingis wrote. "So it has added up for sure, but we will get through it."
Porzingis played just 34 games last season between Atlanta and Golden State, which acquired him in February in a trade involving Jonathan Kuminga. The Warriors re-signed him to a two-year, $40 million contract this summer.
Golden State opens the NBA season Oct. 21 against the Lakers. With Porzingis unavailable, coach Steve Kerr is leaning toward a smaller starting lineup with Draymond Green at center.
