Bobby Bowden and Steve Spurrier, were pretty heated rivals when they were both coaching at Florida and Florida State respectively. Spurrier, famous for taking shots at both opposing teams and coaches, had the famous quote slamming the Florida State Seminoles for their 1999 Footlocker scandal.

Despite the jabs these two shared during their coaching years, Bowden had some nice words for Spurrier on Tuesday, a day after he announced he would be retiring from South Carolina and hanging it up in college football for good.

Maybe we'll see these two playing a round of golf sometime soon, now that both are basking in retirement.
