Four-star ATH Lynn Bowden announces surprise commit to this non-powerhouse

Bowden spurned the Buckeyes, and will be going to this Big Ten school instead.

Four-star athlete Lynn Bowden (6-foot-1, 185 pounds, Youngstown, OH) announced his two leaders earlier last week, and he didn't take long to announce his commitment to one of those two schools. After narrowing down his recruitment to Indiana and West Virginia, Bowden picked the Hoosiers according to Rivals.com.

"When I was there today I just felt the vibe with them that I felt before and I told myself if I would feel the vibe again then I would know it was the right place for me," Bowden told Rivals. Bowden made a visit to Bloomington on Saturday, and clearly he just felt it was the right place for him and he made his commitment on the spot.

Ohio State was also considered a potential destination for Bowden, but eventually the recruit decided to go out of state. Bowden is expected to play running back instead of cornerback with the Hoosiers.
