Four-star running back Stephen Carr (6-foot-0, 195 pounds, Fontana, CA) is apparently a "soft" commit to USC for the 2017 recruiting cycle, and apparently that soft commitment could lead to him flipping to another school.

From Rivals.com:
Michigan was the offer and the soft USC pledge from Fontana (Calif.) Summit is highly interested.
"It was crazy," Carr said. "I honestly didn't see it coming but I'm happy I have Michigan on my roster.
"Michigan is a great school, the program. It's Michigan, man. Who wouldn't want a Michigan offer?"
Carr seems really excited to have an offer from Michigan now, and it's now surprise that head coach Jim Harbaugh is going after a highly-rated recruit that has committed to another school. All coaches do this, but Harbaugh has definitely made more of a point to play hardball and really go after other team's recruits.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out, and don't be surprised if Carr winds up committing to another school before 2017 National Signing Day.
