In new court documents obtained by TMZ Sports, the former heavyweight champion disputes Kerron Swift's account of several alleged incidents. Wilder's legal team argues that any injuries Kerron suffered came from pre-existing conditions or events unrelated to Wilder.
His attorneys also challenge Kerron's claims of assault, battery, false imprisonment and emotional distress.
Kerron sued Wilder in April, alleging abuse while he was a minor living in the boxer's household. He claimed Wilder slapped him inside a car when he was 13 and, in a separate incident, struck him with a belt hard enough to leave bruises.
The lawsuit also alleges Wilder grabbed Kerron by the throat during a 2022 encounter, lifted him off the ground and threw him against furniture. Kerron is seeking damages and has asked for a jury trial.
Wilder denied the allegations when the lawsuit was filed. His attorney, Paul Patterson, called the claims untrue and said he had never physically disciplined Kerron or any other child.
The latest filing puts that denial into the court record and contests whether Kerron can prove the injuries and other harm he alleges. It does not resolve what happened. Kerron's account and Wilder's response remain opposing claims in a civil case, with no finding on the allegations reported.
