Jake Paul was supposed to fight Mike Tyson on July 20th, however, after the former heavyweight champion suffered medical issues on a flight at the end of May, the boxing match was postponed to November 15.

That is to say, Paul still wants to box on the originally scheduled date, so instead of fighting against "Iron Mike," the YouTuber will be going against Mike Perry, the current champion of the BKFC (Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship).

"When Paul vs. Tyson was rescheduled, I knew immediately that I wanted to still fight on Saturday, July 20," Jake Paul stated.
With this in mind, Perry has already been eyeing Paul for quite some time, as he even called him his "dream opponent," in an interview with TMZ.
The feelings are mutual as Paul put out the following statement, "Now, as I prepare for my fight against Iron Mike, there's no better opponent for me than Mike Perry. He's a proven knockout artist who has shown to be a maniac in and out of the ring. This is the perfect experience for me to gain in advance of facing Mike Tyson."

After Perry was announced as the replacement fighter, he said Paul was actually "making the worst mistake of his life," insinuating that his challenger will be embarrassed.
Perry is 32 years old, and has fighting experience in the UFC, where he had a 14-8 record. On the other hand, Paul has made the transition from an entertainer on YouTube to becoming a professional boxer. The 27-year-old has a 9-1 career record (six knockouts).
The one who calls himself "The Problem Child" acknowledges that Perry might be one of his toughest opponents.
"But getting that experience comes with risk. Those who know me know I'm a risk taker and while 'Platinum' Perry might try to end me, I'm Titanium Jake Paul and I fear no man."
The fight will take place in Tampa, Florida on July 20, and will be broadcasted on DAZN pay-per-view.
