Mike Tyson has set the stage for his Friday night boxing match against Jake Paul. He has released a hype video.

The former heavyweight champion posted the video on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, in the hours leading up to the Netflix matchup. The video showed Tyson going through his training and prep work, which included neck strengthening exercises.

The caption simply said, "It's a war," which served as an indicator of his attitude.

"You've got to really believe that," Tyson said. "It's all I ever lived for. It's all I ever lived for. Doubt should be eliminated. You should be a doubt annihilator.

"...You kill people in the ring. You should kill doubt in your mind and in your soul and in your heart. Kill it, it's dead."

The video also featured a reporter asking Tyson about the "fire" being back in him. The reporter asked if he was bringing darkness to the ring on Friday night.

Tyson gave a chilling response. "Even better than that, I'm bringing the devil himself."

Tyson built a career on his ferociousness in the ring. He started with 37 consecutive wins in the ring before suffering his first loss at the hands of Buster Douglas. Thirty-three of these wins were by knockout.

Iron Mike went on to win 50 times in his career while only losing six times. His other two professional bouts were no contests.

Tyson last fought in a 2020 exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. This bout went the full eight rounds as the judges ruled it a draw.

Next up is a battle with Jake Paul, a YouTuber-turned-boxer. Paul is 31 years younger than Tyson, but the former heavyweight champion has shown that he still has speed with numerous videos on social media.

Tyson also showed speed on Thursday night by slapping Paul in the face, something that did not escape the notice of Logan Paul.

"My brother got slapped by Mike Tyson, f****** iconic... but a grave error," Logan posted on X. "This fight just became personal for Jake. Tomorrow's outcome will be utter devastation for Mike; the new face of boxing will be crowned tomorrow (Jake Paul)."
