All eyes were on AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas on November 15 as social media megastar Jake Paul was set to take on boxing legend Mike Tyson in an eight-round bout to kick off the weekend. And despite a lack of action in the ring, there were plenty of storylines after the fallout.

Mike Tyson Reveals He Had Near-Death Experience
The 58-year-old Tyson came into the match as the underdog against a much younger and fit Jake Paul. Still, many believed that Tyson would come out the victor given his much more extensive resume. But that wasn't the case at all, as Paul won via unanimous decision. In the aftermath of the bout, Tyson revealed on social media that he "almost died," following an incident in June of this year.
"This is one of those situations when you lost but still won. I'm grateful for last night. No regrets to get in the ring one last time," Tyson said in a message posted to X, formerly known as Twitter.
"I almost died in June. Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won. To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for. Thank you."
Jake Paul Shows Love to His Opponent
Tyson indeed put up a valiant effort during the bout. And it looked promising after he won the first two rounds. But the deeper the fight went into the later rounds, it became apparent that Tyson just didn't have enough in the tank to outlast Paul, who is his junior by 31 years.
After Tyson broke his silence about the result, he received an abundance of support from many people, including his opponent Jake Paul who called him, "an inspiration."
"Love you, Mike. It was an honor. You're an inspiration to us all," Paul wrote on social media.
