Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will face off Friday night in a high-profile boxing match. No one truly knows who will win, but many viewers have already complained about the Netflix event being "scripted."

The responses were primarily made in response to an incident on Thursday night. Paul stepped on Tyson's foot during a staredown, and the former heavyweight champ responded by slapping Paul in the face. Understandably, this made the rounds on social media as thousands of people weighed.
Mike pulled that punch. Allllll for show baby!

"Jake Paul already paid Tyson to lose. It's a script," one person posted on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. Another person called the slap "obviously scripted" while saying it was a good promotion for the Netflix fight.
"Iron Mike in his prime would dispose of Jake in under a minute," another person commented. "This is legit a circus act... Mike is 58... a shell of himself (in which he should (be), he's d*** near a senior citizen)."
While many people remained convinced that the fight and the slap were both staged, some just expressed hope that this will be a legitimate boxing match. This segment of viewers made comments about how this fight "had better not be" a staged money grab for Tyson, Paul, and Netflix.
Is the fight staged, or will the two boxers go all out in pursuit of the win? That answer will remain unknown until late Friday night. This is when the event will take place.
Netflix has a full fight card leading up to Paul vs. Tyson, which will begin with the preliminaries that stream on the Most Valuable Promotions and Netflix Sports YouTube channels.
The prelims start at 5:30 p.m. ET with Bruce "Shu Shu" Carrington vs. Dana Coolwell. They continue with Lucas Bahdi vs. Armando Casamonica. The final prelim is Shadasia Green vs. Melinda Watpool.
The main card will take place at 8 p.m. ET and will stream on Netflix. This lineup will feature Neeraj Goyat vs. Whindersson Nunes, Mario Barrios vs. Abel Ramos, and Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano.
The main event will, of course, be Paul vs. Tyson. The walkouts are scheduled to begin at 11 p.m. ET.
