The jokes primarily focus on the age of potential opponents considering that the 27-year-old Paul most recently faced off with the 58-year-old Tyson. For example, a popular comment on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, was that Paul had challenged a former president.

"BREAKING: Jake Paul has challenged Jimmy Carter (age 100) to a boxing match after beating Mike Tyson (age 58)," one user posted. Others joined in with similar jokes about the former president, as well as many other individuals decades older than Paul.

According to the satire site The Babylon Bee, Paul has challenged The Exhumed Corpse Of Muhammad Ali to a boxing match. Mashable joked that the YouTuber-turned-boxer/businessman had challenged Minority Leader of the United States Senate Mitch McConnell (82 years old).

The jokes continued into the weekend. They featured President Joe Biden, a 7,000-year-old mummy, astronaut Buzz Aldrin, seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Richard Petty, and a host of anime characters.

In reality, Paul actually took to social media after beating Tyson to issue a challenge. He called out former UFC champion Conor McGregor.

"Dear Conor, I know you told my team you would fight me at 170lbs," Paul posted on X. "That's never happening. But let's run it in MMA. No weight class. Just like how it used to be done. But you won't."

McGregor built his career in mixed martial arts and locked up titles in both the Featherweight and Lightweight divisions. However, he also has some experience in the boxing ring.

The Irishman's last bout was in 2017. He faced off with Floyd Mayweather Jr. at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. McGregor reached the 10th round in the match but ultimately lost.
