At this time, it is unknown what led to the crash. According to TMZ, fire personnel responded to a "trapped patient" call, while emergency responders were at the scene at 4:55 AM.
According to high school basketball reporter Tarek Fattal, Alijah did not suffer any broken bones, but smoke inhalation is what led to the coma.
"ALIJAH ARENAS UPDATE: Arenas was in an accident driving a Cyber Truck. It caught on fire, and he inhaled a lot of smoke," Fattal said in a tweet. "According to sources, this was the reason for induced coma (protocol for smoke inhalation)."
Alijah's mother, Laura Govan, released a statement to her IG.
"I NEED ALL [Your] F***EN PRAYERS," she wrote to her 1.5 million followers.
Thursday's episode of Arenas' show "Gil's Arena," was ultimately canceled.

Notably, Alijah Arenas is one of the top prospects in the nation, as the 6-foot-6 guard from Chatsworth High School, was planning to take his talents to nearby USC for the next upcoming season.
In the McDonald's All-American Game this month, Arenas scored 11 points in the West's 105-92 victory over the East.
Prayers up for the Alijah and the Arenas family.
