Duke basketball got some pretty bad news on Saturday that it wasn't hoping to hear this season. Big man Amile Jefferson will not get to play the rest of the year after suffering a foot injury in December.

Duke is hoping to get a medical redshirt for Jefferson since he only played in nine games and is a senior right now. The redshirt would give him a fifth year of eligibility and would bolster Duke's bench if the staff can't nab Marques Bolden in recruiting.
