Auburn Tigers talent Anfernee McLemore suffered a gruesome injury on Saturday. After some tests, it appears he will miss four-six months.

McLemore made the announcement by way of Twitter:

McLemore dislocated his ankle during a play in which South Carolina Gamecocks guard Wesley Myers fell backward to the ground and appeared to have rolled up under the forward's left foot with his head.

McLemore remained on the ground for several minutes while receiving attention from team doctors. The forward's leg was placed in an air cast and he was placed on a stretcher before being carted off the court and taken to the hospital for X-rays.
McLemore was averaging 7.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.7 blocks prior to Saturday's game. He recorded one point, five rebounds, two blocks and a steal in the 84-75 loss at South Carolina. Moreover, he had started 20 of 26 games this season for an Auburn team that is exceeding all expectations.
Auburn has eight remaining scholarship players in the wake of McLemore's injury. The Tigers currently lead the SEC standings with a 11-3 record in conference play. Bruce Pearl has led the Tigers to an overall record of 23-4.
The Tigers only have four games remaining before the SEC tournament is scheduled to begin.
