Green Bay and Valparaiso were locked in a good game in the Horizon League semifinal of the conference tournament when the truly bizarre went down. Before the teams went into overtime, Green Bay announcer Matt Menzel was temporarily ejected from the game. This series of tweets might do it better justice than any explanation I can give so enjoy this one:

For those curious, the officials were displeased with the gestures of our radio talent. Asked him to leave, he has since returned.

The Green Bay announcer has been reinstated and is back on the air. (After being sent to his room for a few minutes. Or something like that)

Menzel took to Twitter to clarify the issue himself as well:
For the record, all a misunderstanding tonight. Ref said I waved him off and without warning said he wanted me removed. I was let back in.

Thanks @ImCBarks it really has gotten blown way out of proportion. I didn't say a word to the official. Lesson learned, move on, go Phoenix!

It was bizarre enough that he was ejected from the game, but for the refs to let him back into the game might suggest that he didn't anything ejection-worthy just like his tweets might suggest. Just truly a weird turn of events and one that we might not see again.
